Aglaonema

The ultimate low-maintenance houseplant with a pop of color!

Aglaonema

Also known as Chinese Evergreen, Aglaonema is less a tree and more of an herb.

It is a perennial that is native to the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, so not surprisingly, it flourishes in warmer, humid temperatures.

It does, however, not like direct sunlight, so you want to put it in an area that provides both ample warmth and shady cover. It also produces a berry which is a lovely red color once it is ripened.
